Prices under one dollar per item
Kitasenju is the downtown area of Tokyo. I came across a traditional-style conveyor-belt sushi restaurant there, so I decided to check it out.
Sushi Tama, Toyama Kakeo Main Store. There’s one near the station too, but the main store has a better atmosphere.
This town has more people with average incomes than wealthy ones, and there are plenty of affordable, delicious restaurants. When night falls, the lights from all the different shops draw crowds of people.

The green tube contains tea mix. Even as a Japanese person, I wondered what it was at first.
I drank and ate, and paid a total of 3,160yen.


TOne of the unique features of this restaurant is that you don’t order using a machine; instead, you have to speak your order directly to the chef, so it might be difficult for foreigners who aren’t used to Japan to place an order.





Finally, I tried a slightly unusual sushi combination: salmon with onions. I also ordered salmon with grated daikon radish—a unique variation I hadn’t seen before.


I was very satisfied again today.
