Hokuriku has quite a few sake breweries that make sake in Japan. With an abundance of rice as the raw material and large amounts of water used in the production process, Hokuriku is ideal for sake brewing.

Summery design. The label is a goldfish. I like this design and bought it.

The aroma has the smell of old time sake.
In a trendy fruity aroma, that is to say.

Nokaya

It tastes of the moment. It has a sweet taste, and it is recommended to cool it down and drink it with less sweetness. It is what is called a trendy taste. It is suitable for women and sake beginners. For drinkers, it is too sweet and is good as an aperitif. It tastes too sweet to drink for a long time. It is a traditional old style sake. Not for beginners. It is suitable for intermediate to sake lovers.

It is better to chill it. It has a unique sake aroma. Sweet to sour taste. Not fruity, it is a unique and complex drinking experience of adult traditional sake.

Today’s snack is soup dumpling.

I was anxious to pair Chinese and sake, wondering if they would go well together. To my surprise, the Chinese sweet soup and sake balanced each other out and were better than I had imagined. The two are milder than each other and the complex flavor of the sake becomes easier to drink. This is a discovery. A new frontier.

I wonder what I’ll drink next time.
