Authentic sushi restaurant open late into the night. “Sushi and Tempura Toroichi Okachimachi Main Store”

Born and raised in Tokyo, I know pretty much everything about the city.
I mainly eat at conveyor belt sushi restaurants. I didn’t know this place was a 24-hour sushi restaurant.

Its name is “Toro 1”

A typical sushi restaurant. Not a conveyor belt sushi place, but a proper sushi restaurant where chefs make the sushi by hand. These types of restaurants tend to be on the pricier side. When ordering, it’s perfectly acceptable to ask the chef directly. If you’d like to order, feel free to speak up.

Appetizer

天ぷら
Tempura
あじのたたき
Seared horse mackerel

At places like this, I often start by eating appetizers. I don’t immediately dive into the sushi.
The selection of Japanese sake was also impressive.

Is this restaurant also popular for its tempura? It certainly features prominently on the menu.

They say it’s open 24 hours, but Google Maps shows it closed from 7 AM to 11 AM. I’ll go check if that’s really true next time.
