A restaurant serving Japanese home cooking that has been in business for nearly 100 years. “Hamamatsuya Shokudo” and a mysterious object

Hamamatsuya-Shokudo

Hamamatsuya-Sokudo

This diner has been around for about 100 years. It’s been renovated several times, and the current establishment is clean, but it’s a historic diner.
The atmosphere is reminiscent of a traditional sushi restaurant.

The restaurant features tatami rooms, chairs, and tables.

Order counter

Recently, we’ve been seeing more foreign customers. The menu is available in Japanese only, and the owner does not speak English. Payment is cash only. Place your order at the counter and pay in advance.

At the entrance, the menu and our signature curry.
While we don’t have any special dishes, each one offers the solid taste of home cooking.

Inside the store
Automatic Self-Service Tea Machine

This machine provides complimentary tea and water.

My favorite dish: Ginger Pork Set Meal

At this restaurant, you can enjoy classic Japanese home-style dishes. During lunchtime, local office workers come for lunch. It’s less crowded from evening into the night. If you’re in the area, please stop by.
